UniSA has established itself as a global University, with over 2,500 partnerships with universities, research institutes, businesses and industries around the world. This opens up plenty of opportunities for students to take part in a variety of programs overseas as part of their course. This includes hundreds of Universities in 27 different countries, including Belgium, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Spain, UK and the USA.
Programs include overseas summer and winter school opportunities which are short term trips which can take place in the university breaks. If you’re after a chance to immerse yourself in the experience of exploring another culture, then there’s also study abroad and exchange opportunities which can take place for a semester at a partner University overseas.
Third party providers can also operate specialised programs that occur overseas, such as the popular ACICIS ‘Study Indonesia’ program, or the AIM Overseas intensive academic course program.
These are arranged by University School or Academic staff and are also potentially supported by a travel grant of $1,000 to assist in covering the required expenses. The Mawson Lakes Fellowship Program provides scholarships every year for a postgraduate student studying in South Australia, and is sponsored by the South Australian Government, three universities situated within South Australia, and a group of leading Japanese companies, MACAJ.
This is focussed on the fields of urban innovation, planning and development. This includes the opportunity to study in Japan for up to six months in collaboration with MACAJ.
Campuses

Mawson Lakes Campus

Magill Campus

Mount Gambier Campus
The recently established Mount Gambier campus features the UniSA world-class New Learning Centre. Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre
Known simply as the Hawke Centre, this state-of-the-art facility has the community at its heart. Dedicated to shaping a more sustainable society, the Bob Hawke Centre is leading the way on educating the community through public lectures, seminars, research projects and inclusive programs. The Centre also houses the Kerry Packer Civic Gallery which exhibits reflect the University’s commitment to strengthening community values, valuing diversity and building a sustainable future.
Adelaide City East Campus
Situated next to the Rundle Mall shopping district, bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as the Adelaide parklands, the City East Campus hosts many health clinics open to both the public and students, including a medical clinic and a physiotherapy clinic. The City East campus also has replica hospital and community settings with simulated mannequins and purpose built laboratories. Complete with a gym, student lounges and an environmental chamber, this campus is easily accessible by car, bus, train, tram or bike.
