The Government’s QILT Graduate Outcomes Survey is a great indicator of the level of quality education you can expect at a University. Knowing the employability of graduates at a University can show how work ready they are when they complete a qualification as well as what you can expect when you graduate at a school like Monash.
For Undergraduates at Monash University, 70.1% were able to find a full-time job in the four months after graduating, which is higher than the national average across Universities in Australia. The overall employment rate, which includes part-time work as well, was also above average, with 89.8% able to gain employment.
For those that completed a postgraduate course at Monash, the employability rate was higher according to the most recent Graduate Outcome Survey. In the four months after completing a postgraduate course, 92.3% could successfully find a job, only slightly less than the 93% national average for postgrads.

Monash Health- The Monash Medical Centre
Monash University is a highly-recognised School of Medicine in Australia and around the world. Ranking 12th place in the World for Nursing and 28th in the world for Medicine, you can expect the very best Medical degree through this prestigious school. The Medical program is available via two pathways, a direct-entry program for those that have recently left school– the only one in Victoria– as well as a graduate entry program for students who have an existing degree. The Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD) is the foundation program that focuses on areas of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Neurosciences.
After the initial year of study, students will undergo their learning in world class facilities at one of four Monash Clinical Schools, which are partnered with Hospitals and Clinics Australia-wide. The School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health, Central Clinical School, Eastern Health Clinical School and School of Rural Health provide world-class education in the areas of Health sciences and Medicine, with a strong focus on practical and workplace experience.
Monash College
Monash College is an excellent pathway to higher education at Monash, especially for international students. Monash University Museum of Modern Art (MUMA)

Caulfield Health and Fitness Centre
The Monash Caulfield campus is home to some stunning facilities, but it’s also got a great range of sports and recreational fields, buildings and services all on campus. Monash University students have instant access to the Caulfield Health and Fitness Centre, which features a dedicated strength training area and Group Fitness Studio, a cardio gym, free weights and a free and personalised health and fitness assessment and exercise program.
Clayton Campus
Running since 1958, the Monash Clayton campus is Monash University’s biggest globally, with more than 30,000 students. The original Monash campus, Clayton is situated on over 100 hectares of open land with education focused in the Arts, business and economics, education, engineering, IT, law, medicine, nursing and health sciences and the sciences.
Monash Psychology Centre
The Monash University Clayton campus has a strong focus on health and medicine departments. As a part of this, the Monash Psychology Centre is a prominent part of the health faculty. The Monash Centre provides quality care, support and research to help the community, with clinical practice available in areas of adult mental health, adolescent and family, concussion, sleep, memory and neuropsychology. It’s also a supportive community for Monash students, who can have access to state-of-the-art research and hands-on experience through the Monash Psychology Centre.
Monash Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA)
Monash has a world-class Arts department, with the facilities to match. The Monash Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) is no exception, comprising of several buildings including the Alexander Theatre, George Jenkins Theatre and Robert Blackwood Hall. MAPA is also planning extensive renovations, with the Alexander Theatre being developed into one of the best in the state. It will also be renamed into the Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts, which will also include a Jazz club and a 130-seat Sound Gallery perfect for the University’s renowned Monash Academy Orchestra.
The Monash Clayton Library
The Monash Clayton campus is one of the biggest in Australia, with a huge range of facilities spread across the campus grounds. This includes three different libraries, each containing invaluable resources and support for students as well as collection strengths in certain faculties.
The Sir Matheson Library
The Monash Sir Matheson Library boasts a great variety of study facilities and resources to help with study, research and learning to Clayton campus students. The Monash Hargrave-Andrew Library
This flagship library is the perfect place for all Monash students’ study and research needs, fully equipped with state-of-the-art study areas, PC stations and access to the Monash database. The Hargrave- Andrew Library has strong collections to suit the needs of the biological and physical sciences, engineering, IT, medicine, nursing and the health sciences.
Clayton Health and Fitness Centre
As one of the Monash gyms, the Clayton Health and Fitness Centre is fully equipped with the modern training equipment needed to achieve any fitness or heath goals. With a dedicated training zone, cardio equipment, pin-loaded strength machines and free weights; the Clayton Campus gym is a great place to train and unwind at the end of the University day. There’s also a variety of group fitness classes on offer in one of the many multi-purpose studios.
New Horizons Research Centre
The Monash New Horizons Research Centre is one of the University’s greatest attributes; featuring some of the World’s best facilities, equipment and technology to create a multi-disciplinary approach to research. With over 500 staff from Monash University and the CSIRO, The New Horizon’s Centre is at the forefront of research in the areas of manufacturing, modelling and simulation, biological engineering and renewable energy. The Monash New Horizons Research Centre also features the University’s MIME headquarters, the Monash Institute of Medical Engineering. The Green Chemical Futures Building
The Monash University Green Chemical Futures Building is at the forefront of manufacturing and sustainable processes research in Australia. This $80 million building houses the Chemicals and Plastics Manufacturing Innovation Network and the Victorian Centre for Sustainable Manufacturing. Monash Institute for Health and Clinical Education
Monash Clayton campus is very focused on the areas of health and biomedical science. With thousands of students studying undergraduate and higher degree research alike, the Monash Institute for health and Clinical Education is a major asset. This Monash Medical Centre is concerned with furthering the education of professionals across many areas such as health care delivery, education and health administration. The Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI)
The Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute is focus on developing a greater understanding of how the body develops and repairs across the lifespan. The research the ARMI Institute conducts has the potential to treat diseases, conditions and injuries. The focus on using stem cells to research their regenerative capabilities is the centre point of research. Accommodation
The Monash University Clayton campus is the centre point for many of the University’s research and education ambitions. Situated within close distance to the Monash Clayton Hospital and Medical Centre as well as the expansive campus and facilities; there’s no better place to study and live if you want to immerse yourself in the University experience. The Clayton campus offers on-campus accommodation, including studio apartments, dorm-style residence and shared apartments.

The Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS)

With five accommodation options available at the Monash Peninsula campus, no matter what your needs are, there’s something for you all within a short walk of the city.
