Swinburne places a sharp focus on ensuring students can access flexible learning options; and no-more so than its range of Swinburne Online courses and learning resources. It’s partnership with Open Universities Australia as well as the Massive Open Online Courses program (MOOCs) ensures that a quality learning experience is available to everyone, irrelevant of their location or other withstanding commitments.

The massive Open Online Course program was introduced in 2015, which provides learning to families with individuals with autism, allowing them to participate in higher education, whilst juggling their other commitments. This highly successful program attracted 15,000 participants in the first year alone.

Swinburne Online

Swinburne University Online is the university’s joint partnership with SEEK Limited to provide online study options to students in a flexible method. Student numbers are continuing to grow rapidly on Swinburne Online, by almost a thousand students every year as more become aware of the excellent services and support available to students through this online courses method. In 2015, Swinburne also launched the delivery of VET online courses to domestic students in business, marketing and human resources management studies.

Swinburne TAFE

Swinburne TAFE also provides students with a great range of courses and has been doing so for over 10 years. Swinburne TAFE courses are available from certificate III to Advanced Diploma levels, with many apprenticeship and traineeship pathways that students can take part in, to ensure they have the practical skills needed for the workforce. Centre for Forensic and Behavioural Science

The Swinburne University Centre for Forensic and Behavioural Science is an integral part of the social sciences at the university, exploring research efforts into mental health and clinical practices. Advanced Manufacturing and Design Centre

Another cutting- edge centre featured at Swinburne University Hawthorn Campus is the Advanced Manufacturing and Design Centre (AMDC). Croydon Campus

Swinburne’s Croydon Campus is located at the base of the stunning Mount Dandenong, and is easily accessible via public transport, with the abundant shops and restaurants provided by Eastland Shopping centre only minutes away. Wantirna Campus

Sarawak, Malaysia Campus

Sarawak is Swinburne University of Technology’s only international campus, situated in East Malaysia’s state of Sarawak in the capital city of Kuching. This modern city is infused with culture and a popular spot for tourists. It’s well-known for its cuisine and social- scene, and dotted with historic buildings and heritage sites which make it a great city to study in. Swinburne Sarawak campus is only located a short distance from many beaches and nature reserves, and offers all the facilities expected of a capital city and business hub of Malaysia

Elections are held every year for all positions.
