The employability of graduates at a University is a great indication as to how you might fair when you complete a qualification through your chosen institution. The government’s Quality of Learning and teaching indicators (QILT) website includes the Graduate Destinations Survey (2015) which provides survey results from past graduates of Griffith University.
According to the results, 63.9% of graduates wiht an undergraduate qualification at Griffith were able to find full-time employment within the four months after graduating. This is slightly less than the national average of 69.5%. For recent postgraduates, this was slightly higher, with 85.4% of graduates finding a full-time job, greater than the national average across Universities in Australia.
For median salaries that you can expect after you graduate from Griffith University, the survey results found that for those who have completed an undergraduate qualification, the median salary was $54,000 per year, which is under the national average of $56,000 seen in Australian graduates. Students with a postgraduate qualification under their belts can expect a higher salary after attending Griffith University, with the survey showing that the median salary was $72,000. Though this is higher for postgraduate students, it is still below the $80,000 average salary for this higher-level qualification.

Scholarships
Griffith University goes the extra mile to ensure that everyone has access to high-quality study options at a University level and demonstrates this through providing over $40 million to support both new and continuing students with their studies at the University. There are over 700 scholarships available at Griffith to help support students financially through their course. Griffith English Language Institute (GELI)

Griffith Online
Griffith University has been offering online courses for over 18 years and is dedicated to providing a high-quality program across study areas in business, law, education, health, humanities and languages. Online courses are available in Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Master’s Degree however the qualifications available depend on the subject area. Griffith also delivers a dedicated support team to online students as well as access to learning e-resources.

Counselling
The University provides free, professional counselling services which are entirely confidential to all students. Counsellors are available to support and advise on personal or University-related matters and include face-to-face or online video counselling.

From budgeting workshops through to textbook exchange and advice; Griffith provides a range of student services to assist with managing finances and relieving the financial stress of University.
Health and Medical Services
Students are provided with health services provided by the Griffith Health Centre. These are bulk-billed and also allow students to access programs and resources such as health warnings for travel, quit smoking programs and many more.

Griffith University harbours world class researchers and facilities to help deliver solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues. Their range of postgraduate studies provide an opportunity for students to work with state-of-the-art technologies and be mentored by industry professionals. The University houses dozens of institutes and centres which span from research in education, public policy to quantum dynamics.
Environmental Futures Research Institute (EFRI)
The Griffith Sciences’ Environmental Futures Research Institute (EFRI) is involved with trying to better the understanding of clean energy sources, ecosystems as well as developing ways to address worldwide food and water shortages. Spanning over 39 countries in collaborative research, the Institute along with the Centre for Cleaning Environment and Energy, acts as an expert facility on the effects of pollutants in soil, water as well as the push towards renewable sources. There are also a number of opportunities for students, including research and higher degree studies, projects and mentoring by senior researchers.
Griffith Institute for Educational Research
The Griffith Institute for Educational Research is one of the largest University-based education research centres in the country, with over 330 researchers and postgraduate students. The main areas of interest for the research conducted is around education curriculum, pedagogy as well as further developing specialist education areas. The Institute for Educational Research also aids the studies of Higher degree research students.
Centre for Governance and Public Policy
Griffith’s Centre for Governance and Public Policy is primarily involved with research of governance and policy both in Australia and globally. Areas of political science is at the forefront of research efforts and hosts the most research scholars in political science in Australia. Gold Coast Campus
Griffith Gold Coast campus is home to 18,000 students and provides a great combination of an exciting campus atmosphere, world- class facilities as well as being only minutes away from the famous Gold Coast beaches. The Griffith Gold Coast campus has the $150 million Griffith Health centre, which was established in 2013 and a significant asset to the many Health students at Griffith University. Gold Coast campus has plenty of cafes, restaurants and sports services which makes leaving the campus the hardest part of the day.
Griffith Health Centre
The incomparable Griffith Health Centre is one of the latest additions to the Griffith Gold coast campus, providing a unique collaboration between students, researchers and staff to further understanding, learning and research like never before. It works alongside the Griffith University Hospital to create a vital learning experience for students in a range of health subjects. Students have the ability to gain hands-on experience through delivering clinical services to the public under the watchful eye of industry professionals. Some of the services on offer at the centre that students can get involved in include dental care, physiotherapy and psychology.
Business School Building
The renowned Griffith Business School is a $38 million innovative centre which is creating new heights for business education and research not only in Queensland, but in Australia. There are over 4500 students who currently have access to the modern technologies and facilities that are essential in developing a thorough and industry-relevant skill set. The Griffith Business School Building includes a financial trading centre, a Master of Business Administration specialist area, modern seminar and lecture spaces as well as international conferencing and digital technologies.
Red Zone
The Griffith University ‘Red Zone’ is a unique and exciting addition to the Gold Coast campus. This centre features a number of break-through interactive technologies which can be used to immerse visitors into exploring and expanding knowledge in different areas. It includes a huge digital interactive touch screen to visually explore Griffith University, a six-metre-long ‘wave wall’ which is interactive and displays different and exciting projections to engage with. The Griffith Red Zone provides a range of simulations, interactive displays and events to help develop knowledge and interest in many different areas and is available to anyone.
Sports and Fitness
The Griffith Uni Fitness Centre is open to all students, staff and the community. The Uni gym offers a range of modern equipment, including cardio machines, free weights, fitness machines and a range of dynamic group exercise classes. Memberships are available at Uni Fitness, so whether you prefer free weights, Body Combat classes or after a personal training session; Griffith Uni fitness has everything you need to achieve your goals. The Griffith Gold Coast campus also has an athletics track which includes a national standard track surface, throwing cage and pole vaulting equipment. The track as well equipment are available for individual or group bookings, and if you’re looking to improve your skills, there’s also athletics coaching on offer no matter your level of experience.
Griffith University Gold Coast Aquatic Centre
This state-of-the-art, $18 million centre was officially opened on the 5ht April 2017, making it a very recent addition to the Griffith Gold Coast Campus. This magnificent facility includes a solar-heated Olympic sized swimming pool equip with starting blocks and will be used as a training facility on the gold coast in the build-up to the 2018 Commonwealth Games, an event of which Griffith University will play a significant role in.
Accommodation
Accommodation at the Gold Coast campus is offered through Griffith University Village and is located right in the heart of campus. Room types include two and five bedroom apartments, one bedroom apartments and studios. Shared apartments contain a common kitchen and bathroom area whereas single room apartments and studios have private facilities. The Griffith University Village on this campus also features a swimming pool, BBQ area, student lounge, table tennis and pool table and basketball court with the University, shops and Surfers Paradise only minutes away.
Logan Campus
Located halfway between Brisbane and the gold Coast, the Griffith University Logan Campus has almost 2,500 students currently studying in the focus areas of business, education and community health. Logan is Queensland’s third largest city and offers a great student life with access to plenty of entertainment, student services and resources to help with study and to create a more social experience on campus. Griffith Logan campus has a bookshop, café, restaurants, community lounge and a sporting facility. Logan has a variety of degrees available at a Bachelor, Masters, Graduate Diploma and Doctorate level.
Griffith University Library
The Griffith University has six libraries in total across its five campuses, including its Logan Library. This is a fantastic learning resource, providing every student with a great range of learning and studying resources. The Griffith Uni Logan library provides thousands of journals, e-Books, articles and online databases that can be accessed through the Griffith Portal which can assist with any assignment, report or group project. There’s also study spaces to suit your needs, including silent study areas, quiet study and social study spaces for group work. Video conferencing capabilities are also at the Logan library, which can be booked when needed and printing, scanning, laptops and computers are all easily accessible which make learning at Griffith that much easier.
Service Learning Unit
This specialist student services centre is based in the Logan campus and helps to facilitate a range of study options including internships, volunteering and community partner programs for academic credit. The centre can help students find an internships and organise it into their existing curriculum during their degree program. A Community internship elective is not only very beneficial to opening the doors to more career options in the future, but is also an integral part of connecting with the community at Logan, which can help mentor and develop student’s experience.
Sports and Fitness
Griffith Uni is a very sports-oriented school, with state-of-the-art facilities available on every campus. The Griffith Logan campus is no different, with a range of sports and fitness related technology, equipment and facilities to suit every student’s needs. The Logan campus has two sporting fields, which are suitable for football, rugby and soccer and is a popular campus spot for students. There’s also the Logan workout room, which is on offer to students and staff alike and contains affordable, accessible training options. Treadmills, cross trainers, exercise bikes and weight training equipment are all available. Personal trainers also provide sessions via an appointment, but even if you’re after a good fitness, hit; there’s plenty of exercise activities and boot camps year-round.
Accommodation
Accommodation at Griffith university Logan campus is through UniCentral Griffith, which is located only a five-minute walk from the Logan campus. Apartments at the UniCentral Griffith complex are four share and self-catered, with the shopping centre, train line and the city-centre of Logan in easy access. Facilities on the property include BBQ areas, a gym, tennis court as well as a swimming pool. All apartments come equipped with a shared kitchen, laundry and dining area, with each room containing an ensuite, desk and double bed.
Mt Gravatt Campus
The Griffith University Mt Gravatt campus is located adjacent from the University’s Nathan campus and has over 4,000 students currently studying. The areas of focus at this campus include studies in criminology, criminal justice, theatre, psychology and education. Mt Gravatt is situated on the edge of the Toohey Forest, a scenic location that has phenomenal views of Brisbane city and is well known for its lookouts, walking tracks and picnics. The Mt Gravatt campus features a world-class fitness and aquatic centre, on campus accommodation and a café and restaurant.
Griffith Aquatic and Fitness centre
The Griffith University Aquatic and Fitness Centre is located on the Mt Gravatt campus. No matter what you’re after, the centre offers a variety of training and fitness options to suit any experience level. The Aquatic centre boasts three heated swimming pools, a fitness centre equipped with modern training equipment as well as a café and swim school.
The fitness centre includes a range of training options, such as personal trainers and boot camps. Memberships can be purchased either for the use of the entire centre, or just for swimming or training only. Mt Gravatt campus also houses the Griffith University Tennis Centre, which features 12 plexi-cushion (as used in the Australian Open) or 4 synthetic grass courts. Tennis lessons and memberships are available for those wanting to use the facilities as well as various tennis competitions throughout the year.
Mt Gravatt Griffith Library
The Griffith Mt Gravatt campus library spans three levels and has plenty of study areas to suit any need. These include silent areas, quiet study zones and areas perfect for group collaboration and project work. Not only does the Griffith library boast a huge range of books, e-Books, journals and articles, but it also provides students at the Mt Gravatt campus with an extensive range of computing, printing and study resources to make learning at Griffith easier.
Griffith College
Griffith College is based at both the Mt Gravatt and Gold coast Campus, but tends to have a larger presence in Mt Gravatt. Griffith College is a fantastic resource for students wanting to access a University degree but who may not have the scores or prerequisites to do so. The college offers degree- certified diploma pathways in over 60 study areas. Upon completion of one of these pathway programs, student have access to a related Bachelor degree with some of their credits able to go towards a higher qualification and lessen the time spent studying. Some of the popular diplomas include a Diploma of Commerce, Diploma of Healthcare and the Diploma of Information Technology.
Accommodation
If you’re looking at living on campus at Griffith university, you’re in luck there’s plenty of on-campus accommodation available to students at the My Gravatt campus for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Griffith College is situated in native bushland, providing a relaxing and homely environment to live in during your studies.
here are two different options for undergraduate students, with semi-catered and self-catered options available. These are co-ed apartments, with individual rooms and shared bathrooms and common areas. Semi-catered living arrangements provide prepaid meals at the College Dining Room five nights a week and self- catered arrangements have access to four shared kitchens to prepare meals. All dormitory-style rooms have a bed, study area, heater and shared bathroom. For postgraduate students, there’s self-catered one or two-bedroom flats. These contain similar features as undergraduate, but with a bathroom, kitchen and lounge shared with a flatmate.
Nathan Campus
The Griffith University Nathan campus is adjacent to the Mt Gravatt campus locating in the Toohey Forest outside of Brisbane and has over 13,000 students, making it one of the university’s largest. Degrees are available in areas of environment, humanities, IT, law, science and aviation. This campus is brimming with local sports and social spaces, such as a pharmacy, convenience store, numerous cafes, a wine bar as well as the Griffith Uni Bar Nathan.
Sir Samuel Griffith Centre
This one of a kind teaching and resource facility is Australia’s first to depend on sustainable energy sources to power its operations. The Sir Samuel Griffith Centre is a 6 Green Star rated building and highlights Griffith’s commitment to becoming a leader in tackling environmental issues. The Samuel Griffith Centre runs using solar panels and hydrogen power to keep the learning spaces running. The Centre is home to the Griffith Nathan campus Red Zone, as well as having a number of research operations and learning resources.
EcoCentre
The EcoCentre at Griffith University’s Nathan Campus is part of the school’s Science Group and is committed to furthering environmental education, sustainability research and partnership with community groups. The centre is full immersed in the natural environment of the Toohey forest, which adds to its atmosphere. The EcoCentre is the perfect location for conferences, education programs, exhibitions and educational seminars which are hosted year-round. The Toohey Forest Environmental Education Centre is operated from the Griffith EcoCentre to provide further education on environmental impacts for schools as well as students and the general public.
Red Zone
The Nathan Red Zone is at the forefront of interactive learning technology and much like it’s Gold Coast counterpart, this centre helps to promote understanding and create more interest around expanding you knowledge in areas such as health, science, business and the arts. The Nathan Red Zone contains a number of technologies such as ‘Going Off Grid’, an interactive game that simulates the Sir Samuel Griffith Centre and allows visitors to virtually tour the building and special no-access areas which show how the building is powered. The Nathan Red Zone also features a huge, dome-shaped interactive projection screen which immerses the viewer into the digital world it creates. The Red Zone is open to all and is an invaluable asset to the Nathan campus, the students and the wider community.

Nathan Campus has plenty of options if you’re planning on staying at this fantastic area of Queensland. Not only is Nathan campus located only minutes from Brisbane and all the entertainment, attractions and shops that call this city home; but it also allows you to study in a relaxing, laid back environment on the outskirts of the Toohey forest.
Self-Catered Colleges
The Self- catered options for accommodation at Nathan are provided by the Barakula, Kinaba and Girraween Colleges on campus. Perfect for undergraduate students, these colleges have six, seven or eight apartments available which all include shared areas such as a bathroom, kitchenette with basic features and a lounge area shared by flatmates. Residents of these colleges also have access to a business centre which has printing and computer facilities, as well as a common area which features a pool table, TVs and table tennis perfect for socialising with other college residents.
Dorm Style Colleges
The Griffith Bellenden Ker College is a co-ed dormitory on the Nathan campus. This college is perfect for anyone wanting to make the most of the social side of University and immerse themselves in the experiences that are only available in this type of living situation. Every dorm room is private and features a desk and study area, heater and wardrobe. Shared areas include a spacious outdoor decking area which is a great place to soak up the Queensland sun and meet new people in the dorm and an expansive common room which features plenty of seating, TVs, a pool table and table tennis. Small kitchenettes are accessible too for meal preparation, as well as a central dining room.
Self-Catered Postgraduate
Postgraduate students will find accommodation at the Canarvon College residences. These four-bedroom apartments are set in the serene bushlands of the campus with a fully-furnished room and access to shared areas available to every resident. Each flat contains a bathroom, a fully-equipped kitchen and a lounge and dining area that are shared with flatmates. There’s also a common room for all students to share, which features a perfect place to read or catch up with friends as well as access to a computer room, music room and an activity area with table tennis.
South Bank Campus
The Brisbane South Bank Parklands is home to Griffith’s fifth campus and provides resources and learning facilities to over 3, 400 students. The Griffith South Bank Campus has a strong focus on the creative arts and houses the Queensland College of Art, Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith Graduate Centre and the Griffith Film School. The campus is impeccably positioned just a short walk from Brisbane’s city centre, with the Queensland Museum, Art Gallery and thousands of shops, cafes and restaurants it offers all within easy access from Griffith University.
Queensland College of Art
The Queensland College of Art is the breeding ground for future performers, artists, creators and industry leaders, providing quality education, learning resources and support for students. The College is home to studies in a number of specialised areas, such as film and screen, animation, games design, graphic design, interactive media, fine art and photography. The College of Art also host a plethora of international field trips and study tours to experience the art industries overseas. Queensland Conservatorium
The Griffith University South Bank Campus boasts a number of world-class centres, but the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) centre is one of a kind. Griffith Uni have one of the most comprehensive music schools in Australia and the Conservatorium helps to hold this position of leadership. The Conservatorium theatre hosts a number of performances in its theatre, recital hall and orchestral hall year-round and is proud to have alumni including Dami Im, Katie Noonan and Megan Washington.
Griffith Film School
The next generation of filmmakers, designers and animators can start their journey at the Griffith Film School. The Griffith Centre for Creative Arts Research Centre spans across multiple campuses, but it primarily located in the Griffith South Bank campus.
