Overall employment levels for graduates, consisting of full-time and part-time show that in the QILT survey results, 93.9% of undergraduates and 95.3% of postgraduates were able to secure a job. Graduate salary is a good indicator to work out what you might be earning once you complete your studies at the Australian Catholic University. According to the Graduate Destinations Survey (QILT), undergraduates of ACU have a median salary of $57,000 with postgraduates having a median salary of $78, 300 after graduation.

ACU is Australia’s largest Catholic university, and ensures that every student can access its faith services if they require it. From connecting you with like-minded peers, supporting you with questions, providing a range of events throughout the year and offering prayer and reflection services, the ministry team is always there to support you.
Career Development Service
The full variety of services available to help and support students with developing their careers is a fundamental part of the university experience at Australian Catholic University. It includes access to CareerHub, an online portal with job vacancies, career workshops, consultations and appointments with a career specialist as well as employer networking events on offer throughout the year.
Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS)
Peer Assisted Learning Sessions (PASS) are an important element of study life, and the group study sessions held year-round can help you get the support and encouragement you need from your peers, all while helping you make more friends along the way.
Global Opportunities
The Australian Catholic University prides itself on becoming one of Australia’s most global Universities, and so, frequently offers every student the opportunity to extend their reach and their knowledge and travel overseas as part of their course. In 2015, more than 400 ACU students took part in a global adventure through an exchange program. With many different partnerships with universities in cities such as Paris, Florence and London as well as curriculum developments being underway in Asia and America.
Rome Centre
This centre, established in 2015 in conjunction with The Catholic University of America, allows the students of Australian Catholic University to immerse themselves in the heart of the Catholic faith and gain the experience and wisdom you can only gain through engaging with other countries and cultures. ACU is also the only Australian university to have a centre in Rome, making it a once in a lifetime chance if you wanted to go to the country to study
Campuses
ACU has seven different campuses across Australia, including Adelaide, Ballarat (Victoria), Canberra Melbourne, North Sydney, Strathfield (NSW) and Brisbane.
Adelaide Campus
Adelaide is the most recent campus at ACU, having only been completed in 2013. Originally, it was the Catholic Theological College (Adelaide) before becoming ACU’s Adelaide Campus and the faculty of theology and Philosophy. While there is only a limited number of courses offered, due to the smaller size and speciality of the campus; students can expect a highly- detailed education with dedicated and committed teaching staff.
The full range of Theological courses include:

In addition to this, there’s still going to be an option to study postgraduate courses in Religious Education.
Ballarat Campus
Ballarat is a major rural town located just over 100km from Melbourne. ACU Ballarat campus–also known as Aquinas campus–currently has almost 1000 students in total, all studying different qualifications in a range of selected subjects. The campus has a long history, dating as far back as 1881 and has remained an institute for education since 1919. It was officially handed to ACU to become a campus in 1990.
Ballarat is a beautiful place to study, with options to live on-campus. Sovereign Hill, the Botanic Gardens, Ballarat Wildlife Park and Lake Wendouree are all popular spots to visit and within proximity to the Ballarat Campus.
The ACU Ballarat Campus is growing, and so too are it’s course offerings. Qualification levels range from short courses, Certificate I-IV, Diploma, Bachelor Degree, Graduate Certificate and Diplomas, master’s Degree and Doctorates. Currently students can study in subject fields including:

The Callinan Library
Located at the front of the campus and named after distinguished townsman, the late Sir Bernard Callinan; The ACU Library at Ballarat is home to a great range of learning resources. Students can loan items, as well as have access to a variety of material spanning from eBooks, articles, databases and audio-visual content. There’s also a wide range of computers, printers and laptops available. If you’re after a study rooms, they can be available for booking, either for individual or group use.
Chapel
The Chapel is a fundamental component of student life at ACU Ballarat Campus, providing a range of support to all staff and students. Liturgies are held every week with a range of other religious services available as well.
Accommodation
The Australian Catholic University is very dedicated to providing education to rural and remote students, and so provides accommodation to assist with their learning and allow it to be more accessible. It currently provides housing for over 170 students, with two different accommodation options available, the Camillus Residential Village and the Managed Residences.
The Camillus Residential Village is located just 4km from campus and can house up to 78 students in 15 units. The units on this residential block are single bedrooms within a 4, 5 or 7-bedroom unit. They include a fully-functioning kitchen, BBQ area as well as plenty nearby facilities and a recreation room.
Managed Residencies are slightly farther out, located about 8km from the Australian Catholic University’s Ballarat campus. Housing ranges from 3 to 7 bedroom facilities with added options such as balcony, ensuite and study areas available. These residences are fully furnished with a kitchen for meal preparation.
Canberra Campus
ACU’s Canberra Campus (Signadou) currently provides quality education to over 1, 200 students and within close proximity to Canberra’s CBD. Canberra is Australia’s capital city, and attracts many visitors every year due to its history, culture and significance to Australia’s politics.

Sports and Recreation
ACU Canberra campus has plenty on offer for everyone who loves sport, either recreationally or competitively. The campus features a saltwater heated outdoor pool, common rooms with pool tables and tennis tables, as well as a basketball court and hoop perfect for practicing your skills or having fun with friends.
Office of Student Success (OSS)
The ACU Office of Student Success (OSS) offers a number of services to help all students at the Australian Catholic University Canberra Campus. No matter what you’re after, OSS can help develop your skills and create a more successful university experience. Their services include support for disability, student life, counselling, academic skill development as well as career services.
Centre for Science, ICT and Mathematics Education for Rural and Regional Australia (SiMERR ACT)
The Hub for the Australian Catholic University’s science, technology and mathematics centre is located at the Canberra campus. It’s aim is to improve education of these key studies in rural areas of Australia. Through research and development, the centre is focused on working with schools and communities to help increase the quality of teaching across primary, secondary and tertiary education levels in maths, science and technology.
ACU Library
The Library at the Canberra (Signadou) campus is extensive and offers a wide range of learning resources to assist with any assignment, report or presentation needs. With thousands of books, both in the library and available electronically, as well as computers, study labs, printers and scanners, there’s everything you need to help you with your studies.
Accommodation
Canberra attracts thousands of internationally students every year, and ACU has ensured that all of it’s students, both domestic and overseas, have access to high- quality living options if they need it. Currently, there are two accommodation options at Australian Catholic University’s Canberra campus, either full- catered or self- catered.
Managed Residences
The self- catered managed residences are located in the suburbs outside of the university, but within close proximity. These rooms are available half- yearly or yearly, and are fully- furnished. Tenants have access to a single-room unit in a three or four bedroom house, with a kitchen, living area and parking all available to share.
MacKillop House
The Mackillop Houses are ACU’s fully- catered accommodation option, which is available to young women currently studying in the Australian Capital Territory. Located in the inner suburb of Lynham, it’s accommodation is perfect for anyone wanting to be close to campus, but also experience the lifestyle of living independently in Canberra.
Melbourne Campus
Melbourne Campus (St Patrick’s campus) is definitely the largest of the Australian Catholic University campuses, providing education to almost 10,000 students. Located in the heart of the vibrant city, this campus is easily accessible by public transport, as well as only 600 meters from Parliament Station. It’s right next to Melbourne’s famous Brunswick Street, so students have direct access to the range of unique and culturally diverse cafes, galleries, boutiques and restaurants it offers.

Daniel Mannix Building and the Centre for Health and Wellbeing
This visually stunning building is the crowning glory of ACU’s St Patrick campus, located at its heart in Melbourne. It comprises of a number of state-of-the-art facilities including lecture halls, collaborative work spaces, a gymnasium, bookshop, Ministry and a rooftop garden; a favourite spot of ACU students. This building also comprises of the Centre for Health and Wellbeing which offers facilities suited to students in nursing, paramedicine, public health, midwifery, exercise science, psychological sciences and occupational therapy.
ACU Fitzroy Health Clinic
The health clinic at Melbourne recognises the importance to gain practical experience in health- related subjects. Students can get the opportunity to develop their skills further by providing services to the public under the watchful eye of industry professionals. Services offered through the clinic include speech pathology such as paediatric pathology, neurological rehabilitation and adult pathology. Other services include occupational therapy and exercise physiology.
Melbourne Studio Gym
The Australian Catholic University understands the need to have a place for students to unwind and offer the Melbourne Studio Gym to all students, allowing them to have access to a exercise space which features training machines, strength equipment and classes as well as a number of locker and showers.
Melbourne’s Raheen Library
The library at Melbourne’s campus features every resource you need for any project you may face over the course of your studies at the Australian Catholic University. It contains thousands of sources, across all different media types including texts, eBooks, journals and articles. Printers, scanners, photocopiers and desktops are available throughout for student’s convenience.
Accommodation
Despite no accommodation options being available on-campus through the University, there are still many different options on offer for students looking at moving to Melbourne for study.
Student Apartments
There are plenty of student apartments located in and around the city which offer a great mode of accommodation for students looking to immerse themselves fully into the lifestyle of Melbourne city. These apartment complexes offer apartments with your own kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and are entirely self- sufficient, meaning students are responsible for their own cooking and cleaning. These can range from single bedroom, studio, double share as well as two and three bedroom living options.
Student Residences
These residencies offer a number of self- contained apartments run independently of ACU. Rooms are typically available for rent which provide a bedroom and shared kitchen, living and bathroom spaces.
Strathfield Campus
The Australian Catholic University’s Mount Saint Mary campus in Strathfield is home to over 5, 700 students and located only 14 kilometeres of Sydney’s CBD. A free shuttle bus service is available to the station, making it only a short trip between the campus and the bustling city centre. Situated on historic grounds, Strathfield is a quiet inner suburb that is perfect to get the full experience of the city, with the leisure of a small town.

Cafeteria and Common Area
The Australian Catholic university ensures that students have access to a number of social and recreational facilities on campus, to help generate a more social environment and encourage the development of student experiences. The Mounties cafeteria is a popular spot for Strathfield campus students to eat and socialise with friends, with plenty of different food and drink options all well- priced. ACU’s Strathfield campus also has a student common area which features another great resource to catch up with friends and relax. It includes a pool table, couches, TV and a DVD player.
ACU Strathfield Health Clinic
The Health Clinic at Strathfield Campus provides services in exercise science, psychology and counselling. Services are delivered by students in these fields and closely supervised by professionals. Students have the ability to gain real- world experiences through screening patients and prescribing appropriate exercise regimes. Set in a gym setting, exercise science students get the chance to provide these services for free to community members.
The psychology and counselling clinic is staffed by postgraduate students, allowing them to deliver counselling services to the general public at a low cost, and learn under registered clinical psychologists. Students have the opportunity to gain the practical knowledge in advising and screening families and individuals as well as working closely with other health professionals such as social workers and dieticians.
Sports and Recreation
The Strathfield Campus features a rugby and soccer oval for student use, whether you like to play recreationally with friends or are looking for a more competitive sports environment, there’s something for everyone if you want to get involved. A cricket pitch is also available year around and is a favourite during the warmer months.
Sydney Campus
The Australian Catholic University has a campus located in North Sydney (Mackillop Campus), which currently provides education for 5,500 students. Centred within a five minute commute to Sydney’s CBD, this campus is a great way for students to learn in one of the world’s most famous cities an surround themselves with the diverse lifestyle which is unique to Sydney.

Chapel
Like all ACU campuses, the one located at North Sydney also features a chapel available for all students. Featuring a rose garden and a front garden area, if offers the chance for reflection and prayer for all members of the campus, as well as Mass celebrated every week.
Common Spaces
There are many different areas perfect for socialising at the Australian Catholic University, including a common room which is frequently used by students as a place to meet with friends, eat, socialise and relax. It includes sitting areas, a pool table, ping pong table, lounges and a piano. A Courtyard is also a prominent feature of the north Sydney campus, giving students a place to relax outdoors with plenty of seating areas, shelters as well as a BBQ.

ACU North Sydney Health Clinic
This recently refurbished facility assists in providing quality education and training to health care students through direct learning experiences with technologies and equipment. Services are administered by students and supervised by professionals. Services are speech pathology, including paediatric and adult pathology, stuttering and communication development.
Higher Degree Research Space
For those in postgraduate studies such as a Master’s Degree or Doctorate, the Higher Degree Research Space is accessible to all those involved in studies at a higher level, who may need access to research and study facilities in a quiet environment. This resource area can only be used by postgraduate students, and is vital in allowing them to have access to resources they need such as computers, to assist them with their complex studies.
Accommodation
ACU offers student accommodation at the north Sydney campus, in the form of 100 single studios and 50 rooms in multi- share apartment complexes. Studio rooms feature ingle occupancy, kitchen, bathroom, furniture and a study desk. Multi- share apartments also feature single occupancy rooms, but shared kitchen, living and dining areas as well as bathrooms.
Brisbane Campus
The Australian Catholic University Brisbane Campus (McAuley at Banyo) is one of the largest education providers in Brisbane, with over 5, 600 students taking part in their higher education at ACU, including over 400 international students. Located only 12 kilometres from Brisbane’s city centre, this campus is located on over 40 hectares of natural bushland. This allows students to experience the best of both worlds; the natural beauty of the Queensland state as well as easy access to all the features that the world-class city of Brisbane offers.

Biomechanics Lab
This facility is essential in providing students in exercise science and physiotherapy the practical skills necessary in creating a successful career in these industries. The Biomechanics Lab is a new feature of ACU’s Banyo campus in Brisbane, allowing for students to more accurately study the movements of the human body. High-tech equipment and state-of-the-art technology is readily available for students and allows them to observe how the body works in relation to sporting and movement techniques as well as providing for extensive research opportunities.
ACU Brisbane Health Clinic
The Health Clinic at Brisbane is modern and spacious, allowing for students in health- related areas of study to delivery services in a clinic environment. Students in areas such as physiotherapy, speech pathology, occupational therapy, social work and exercise science can provide advice and services to clients, while being mentored and supervised by industry professionals.
Brisbane Exercise Science Gym (BESG)
The exercise gym at ACU Brisbane Campus is fill to the brim with state-of-the-art equipment and available to staff and students of the Australian Catholic University. Students of exercise science have the ability to learn and observe under exercise physiologists, and member students get the added- benefit of accessing a range of low- cost classes, sessions and advice.

Associations
The Australian catholic University National Student Association (ACUNSA) is the main organisation representing students across ACU. Its goal is to enhance the experience of all students, maintain their collective rights and help to shape their time at the Australian Catholic University into one they won’t forget.
